FALCON FLASH
Dateline:  Cleveland, Ohio
March 19, 2004

SW and Buckeye braved the snowstorm, and right on schedule, SW laid the third egg sometime during the night of the storm or the next morning (March 16 or 17).
Incubation will take about 33 to 39 days.  You can do the math - approximately when will the first chick hatch?  For the next month or so, SW will spend most of her time incubating the eggs.  Buckeye will sit on the eggs for a few hours each day, so that SW can go out and stretch her wings.  Most importantly, Buckeye will catch food and bring it to SW.  When it is cold the parents will sit very tight, but you might get to see the eggs as the parents change places or when they turn the eggs once an hour or so.  Be sure to go to the image archive at the FalconCam to see the day's activities (there's a link under each of the 3 current pictures that will take you to the archives) http://www.falconcam.apk.net/

The fourth egg was laid during the night or early the next day, March 18-19.
For the past two years, SW and Buckeye have had 4 eggs, although last year one of the eggs did not hatch.  Will there be a fifth egg this year?
