FALCON FLASH
Dateline:  Cleveland, Ohio
May 19, 2004

If you have been monitoring the FalconCam, you have noticed that a lot has happened during the week since the chicks were banded.

The chicks are practicing their flying skills.
You'll also notice one, two or three chicks are absent from the nestbox from time to time.  They are now out wandering about on the ledge.  Remember, their nest is 12 stories up on a skyscraper, but don't worry, they never seem to fall.
And they are venturing out of the nestbox.
Most noticeable is their growth, both in size and in feathers.
Watch the falcons live on the FalconCam at http://www.falconcam.apk.net/
Our thanks to EcoCity Cleveland for providing the FalconCams as a public service.
The first 3 photos are stills captured from the FalconCam.

The last photo of the falcon on the ledge is courtesy of Scott Wright and may be used in any non-commercial publication, electronic or print, but please give him photo credit.
